I’m Portia, a freelance casting professional for film, television, and more!

I started my education in Television Production in Hawai’i, but my interest in Casting was sparked while attending VCUarts Cinema Program. While there I worked as a Casting Associate for several student short films under the direction of Anne Chapman, CSA.

After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in 2015, I returned to Hawai’i and had the opportunity to work on Hawaii Five-0 with their extras casting department.

In 2019, I attended the Casting Society Cares: Training & Education Program in New York City. The following year, I relocated back to the mainland and have since been a mentee in the Casting Society’s: BIPOC Alliance Mentorship Program, and worked as a Casting Assistant on various projects with arvold. casting, Calleri Jensen Davis Casting, and The Telsey Office.

In my downtime, you can find me traveling, seeking live entertainment or consuming TexMex and Japanese cuisine!
